Information Technology has social roots as well as dependencies on computer technology and mathematics. A curriculum for training information technologists must look into the present practice as well as into the future. As we look into the future, these social roots are likely to become more important, than at present, and thus should be reflected in our curriculum.
Our proposal is to provide a window into distributed worldwide scholarship. The window will reveal core issues related to science and mathematics as expressed in theories of knowledge and theories of computing.
