The Anticipatory Web technology brings the inductive process forwards in importance, and places the deductive mechanisms into a context where only if the phenomenon is very stable (such as in engineered systems) would one expect deduction to be very useful.
A moment's reflection might bring an awareness of the relevance of the anticipatory paradigm to the problems of intelligence gathering and analysis, as well as the larger question of the development of a new type of information science.
Our unhappiness with incumbent contractors is being
