Thank you for the time that you took to develop an analysis of the RoadMap and the General Information Framework (GIF) and related theory/grounding related to the GIF.
I have edited slightly your post and reposted at [278] and made a set of replies at [279]
We would appreciate any additional discussion from the Protege/OWL community (world wide).
It is critical that the world medical community find support from the ontology community to strengthen flu monitoring mechanisms as well as to support medical research. See: [home]
We feel that
1) the
thesis that computer science should be grounded in natural science and
2) that individuals should be responsible for their actions.
Again, our hope is that the Stanford team will quickly stabilize a simpler OWL editor so that this tool could become (in a very short period of time) more useful in ontology development (by medical and science community).
The team might act on this hope, and so we renew the discussion on this point.
