I'm not sure if I should write to all of your list, so I am writing only to you. If you want, you may CC to the others.
Regarding the opportunity of having a meeting to discuss computational semiotics, you may want to consider a participation at the following conference, which I will be helping in the organization:

This will be happening here in my university in july-2006. I am part of the local organization committee. Even though the focus here is not strictly on the development of intelligent systems, you may see by the call for papers that there is some interconnection to what you are doing.
Please consider this as an option.
